About Geni Whitehouse, CPA.CITP
Geni spends part of her time working for a CPA firm in the Napa Valley that is focused on wineries. A former tax partner in an Atlanta CPA firm, she left accounting to focus on technology and had CPA Alliance and / or Product Marketing roles at the former Navision Software US headquarters, later at ACCPAC, and then at Sage. She was on a parallel track with Edi for most of those years, seeking to find tools that would help accountants better communicate the value of the work they delivered. Finally, in 2004 their paths crossed and they have been working together in various ways ever since. When she is not busy helping wineries with their quality control issues (tasting wine), Geni can be found on the speaker circuit where she shares her perspective and the Mentor Plus tools with accountants and bookkeepers. She was honored to have been able to assist Edi in the final stages of bringing her incredible tools to life in an online training platform and continues to be amazed at the both the quantity and quality of the tools Edi has created. For almost 10 years, she has been applying the Level 5 concepts and methodologies with wineries of all sizes and has been able to see the impact on not only their businesses, but on the CPA firm that employs her. She has been recognized as a Thought Leader and Influencer in the accounting profession and is the author of "How to Make a Boring Subject Interesting: 52 ways even a nerd can be heard." Personal Interests
Geni is a native of Greenville, SC and a graduate of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. She moved to California in 2004 and is still trying to convince people that grits and polenta are the same thing.
As a child, her family raised basset hounds which is why they seem to find their way into almost all of her presentations. |
